And Strawberry Night from Tenbatsu Enban sounds like the epic Power Rangers theme 0.o
If you don’t already know (I really don’t expect you to at all really…), Strawberry Night is a song from a Japanese indies band named Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGoD (takes a lot of training to say that in one breath). After consulting my ever-pwnsome friend Greg and holding my head in my hands about a certain song named Strawberry Night, I decided that I wanted to translate the song. I already knew the damned thing would be about something perverted, but like I said, I was bored. And curious.
And I need somewhere to showcase my boredom and store my parse understanding of the Japanese language.
Just for the record, Shinno’s rerecording of Strawberry Night is so much better than the original on Tenbatsu Enban. I’m just throwing that out there for the world (or whoever gets around to reading this thing) that I believe Shinno to be the better guitarist (although I don’t think anyone is going to argue with that. Someone tell me why all the tracks that the band remakes make the original seems so crappy in hindsight?)
Back on track, I opened up my Japanese dictionary, a wonderful program named WaKan (this thing is GOD if you need to translate stuff) and placed my ass into a rather comfortable crevasse on my couch, and I began to type away trying to decipher this song.
A few minutes later…
And I finish. Well, it wasn’t really that hard at all. My original assumption of something sexual was somewhat incorrect, but from a title called STRAWBERRY NIGHT I didn’t think that Danchou was going to discuss picking strawberries at night in his undies anyway.
